About Me

My photo
Joe Congel
My first foray into the world of book publishing was back in 1992 when I provided the cartoon illustrations for the book, Housetraining Your VCR: A Help Manual for Humans. After that experience, I decided that I was better suited as a writer than an illustrator. I just figured that since a picture was worth a thousand words, I'd rather write the thousand words. I enjoy the idea of letting the readers conjure up their own images to fit the stories I've written, giving each reader their own unique experience within the world I've created. I have since written four books. What you will find here are my musings about my stories, the experiences and/or struggles I have writing them, any promotions that might be coming up or already running, and perhaps a sneak peak of any projects or books I'm working on. … And from time to time I will also post a short story simply for your entertainment.
